Thank you for your patience and energy during this wait. The announcement of the films selected for the official competition of our tenth edition has taken longer than expected… and with good reason: the quantity and quality of titles received tripled compared to last year. The selection process was longer and more complex than usual, a real challenge that we did not anticipate, but one that confirms the strength and vitality of our genres.

We also want to celebrate something that makes us very happy: the notable increase in the participation of female directors. Some are taking their first steps, others already have experience, but they all share something essential: a different sensibility, a fresh perspective, and a unique approach to the worlds we love so much. More than 20% of all the programmed material bears their signature, and that opens up new perspectives for the festival.

And please note: the fest, originally scheduled for January, has been moved to April 2026. This change will allow us to expand our horizons: new venues throughout Chile, more parallel activities, and experiences that will multiply the reach of FIXION, bringing us closer to audiences who have not yet experienced this adventure.

So get ready… because what’s coming will be bigger, more diverse, and more surprising than ever. And don’t say we didn’t warn you.
